West Virginia Energy Efficiency Programs for customers
The AEP “gridSMART®” initiative is proud to offer the HomeSMART Energy Assessment programs to its West Virginia customers.
The HomeSMART program offers customers multiple tools to improve energy efficiency and save money in their homes. From an on-line assessment you can complete yourself, to a comprehensive home energy assessment by participating contractors, AEP has made it easy for you to make the most of your home’s energy efficiency. We even offer rebates on many of the services and that will help you save energy every day.
FREE Residential Online
Energy assessment 
A free self-service assessment tool in which customers answer basic questions about their homes and how they use energy. Upon completion, you will receive a kit of energy conservation measures.
Free In Home
assessment
A free in-home assessment completed by a GoodCents assessment Technician will involve a thorough review of your entire home. Upon completion, you will receive an assessment report.
Residential Contractor
assessment
An in-depth assessment consisting of diagnostic testing to determine how air-tight your home is. There is a cost to this assessment, and upon completion, you will receive an assessment report.
C&I PRESCRIPTIVE
Program
Commercial program that offers prescriptive incentives for some of the more common energy efficiency measures, including HVAC and lighting upgrades.
